Vida Farizhendi BScPT, CAFCI
Vida graduated from Shahid Beheshti university in Tehran,Iran with a Bachelor of science in physiotherapy in 1993. She owned her clinic and health center in Tehran for few years prior to move to Canada.
She has worked in orthopedic hospital and private practices in musculoskeletal disorders and neurological cases in Tehran and Vancouver. She believes in continuing education and has completed several post graduate and Mckenzie courses. Vida is certified with (AFCI), the acupuncture foundation of Canada institute and does anatomical acupuncture combined with other treatments for her patients. In addition to acupuncture Vida does deep dry needling (IMS) which is effective for trigger points, chronic pain and reducing inflammation.
Her interests are hiking, swimming, aerobic, yoga and painting.
Adefemi Famojuro Physiotherapist
Femi received his training at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he earned a Bachelor of Physiotherapy graduating with a distinction in orthopedic and trauma.
He is passionate about helping his clients return to activity through the use of individualized programs which comprises of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and client education.
Since graduating in 2007, he has worked in various practice setting with a special interest in treating sports injuries, orthopedic rehabilitation.
He has taken courses in McKenzie method, muscle energy technique and is currently pursuing his manual therapy levels.
He enjoys soccer(watching, playing) and politics.
Nilesh Singla Interim Physiotherapist
Neil is a young and active member of our expanding team. He is a recent graduate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with a Bachelors in Physiotherapy, and an interim registered physiotherapist with the CPTBC.
He has completed a six month clinical rotation through various fields, such as cardiology, orthopedics and neurology. Along with being a physiotherapist, he is also an ACE (American Council of Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer, and holds an Orthopedic Exercise Specialist certification.
He has successfully completed workshops on Mulligans Mobilization techniques. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings, working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, motor vehicle accident cases, stroke patients, postural correction, general fitness and more. Apart from that he believes in healthy living; his interests include sports – especially hockey – being the captain of his local hockey team and takes part in the annual tournaments, working out, and conditional training. “
John Perone MsPhty, BKin., RMT
John completed his Master degree in physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2008. He has been a registered massage therapist in Vancouver since 2000 and has become a kinesiologist in 2004.
Since the beginning, John successfully integrated both RMT and kinesiology services to ICBC, WorkSafeBC and MSP clients including active rehabilitation (AR) services.
John has completed training in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and is also certified in IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation / Dry Needling).
John brings his diverse clinical background and training to each and every patient. He loves working with both active and rehab populations.
John is a proud father of four children, one girl and three boys, and in his spare time when he is not chasing them around, he is an active soccer analyst (in his own mind!), fan and player.
Clayton Giles Registered Massage Therapist
Clayton Giles is a massage therapist (RMT) who has completed the 3000 hour program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy.
His enthusiasm for learning about the human body and his health conscience lifestyle make him suitable for the profession as a RMT. Clayton’s treatment style incorporates a wide range of techniques, such as Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Fascial, and Joint Mobilizations.
Post treatment he always gives his patients homecare, whether its a stretch, strengthening exercise, or a change to work place or lifestyle ergonomics. Clayton stays active by weightlifting, going for runs or hikes, or doing seasonal activities such as snowshoeing or kayaking.
Roxana Pardis Registered Acupuncturist &Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine by Education.
Roxana Pardis is a graduate of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) program at ICTCM (International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and currently working as a registered acupuncturist in Harmony Clinic.
Coquitlam. Although coming from an engineering background, she has always been fascinated with the magic of human body and ways to achieve a balanced healthy life.
She believes that the way the human body is interconnected with the mind and soul in Chinese Medicine empowers the practitioner to help all individuals in their own personal journeys towards wellbeing and growth. Especially the way Chinese Medicine is based upon the energy mechanics of the body and mind, and how health is maintained through the unity and constant transformation of the two opposite life forces, yin and yang.
Her five year training in TCM included Western Medicine basics, such as Anatomy, Physiology, Internal Medicine, Pharmacology, as well as Chinese Medicine basics such as Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Chinese Internal Medicine, Chinese food cure, TuiNa (Chinese massage), Qi Gong and Tai Chi (Chinese martial arts),… and some advanced courses in TCM (e.g., TCM psychology and TCM gerontology). In addition to her formal program in ICTCMV, she has also completed other short programs which include Acupuncture Detoxification, under the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), Infertility, and Cosmetic Acupuncture. The latter was provided by Marry Elizabeth Wakefield, one of the leading proponents of facial renewal techniques in the world today.
Vahid Shahrokhi, DOMP Registered Osteopath
Vahid graduated from Medical University as MD in Iran in 1995z
He has worked in hospital, emergency department and his private clinic for more than 18 years,prior to move to Canada.
In Canada, he passed ARDMS exams in principles of MSK Ultrasound, then he graduated from
NAO( National Academy of Osteopathy) as DOMP.
Vahid as DOMP( Osteopath practitioner) doesn’t concentrate on treating the problem area, he
strongly believes that the body functions as a unit. Everything is connected and a compensation or compromise in any part of the body will affect the whole body.
Zara Farizhendi Office Manager
Zara is our friendly face at the front desk, she is a great source of communications for the patients and therapists. She has a degree in Economics /Business from Iran and has studied Financial management program in BCIT.
She has several years of work experience in Office managing, Accounting, Sales and Human resources. She has been painting in oil and acrylic in her spare time for more than 10 years. She also enjoys bike riding, hiking, badminton, canoeing and kayaking.
Lyna Kim Medical Assistant/ MOA
Lyna is our enthusiastic medical assistant who has graduated as an honored student of Douglas College. She is also a proud member of MOAA of BC. She is very knowledgeable and loves helping patients.
She has strong organization skills and passionately works with the practitioners to improve patients’ injury and quality of care.
Lyna likes arts and nature, she also studied Interior Design program at BCIT and she is a certified Zumba Fitness Instructor. She has been volunteering actively for different organizations including church communities in her free time.
